QPR 2-1 Cardiff

On a lovely winters day the top two teams in the Championship went head to head in a battle for superiority as Rangers played host to second placed Cardiff.

After a strong start by Rangers, a slip from Kaspers Gorkss proved costly as Jay Boothroyd played Craig Bellamy in on goal with only Paddy Kenny to beat and finished of Cardiff's only chance of the entire first half.
Gorkss soon made up for his slip as he expertly guided home Kyle Walker's pin point cross to level the game.
In the second half Adel Taarabt put the R's in front after a corner wasn't cleared properly and the Moroccan blocked Naylor's clearance and proceeded into the box before turning a few defenders inside out and rather than squaring the ball he instead smashed the ball into the roof of the net to seal all three points.

Lofty will return tomorrow to give a full expert analysis of the game and give an insight into what the Lofty Heights crew were up to before and after the game and will also name a man of the match.
