Bristol City Away on Opening Day

The 2007/08 fixtures have today been released and Rangers have a tough start away at newly promoted Bristol City and welcome Cardiff City the following Saturday for our first home game.

The opening day in the Championship is as follows;

Barnsley v Coventry
Bristol City v QPR
Burnley v West Brom
Cardiff v Stoke
Charlton v Scunthorpe
Hull v Plymouth
Ipswich v Sheff Wed
Leicester v Blackpool
Preston v Norwich
Sheff Utd v Colchester
Southampton v Crystal Palace
Wolverhampton v Watford

The Boxing Day fixture has yet again, been anything but kind to us as we make the long trip to Home Park to face Ian Holloway's Plymouth Argyle. Other fixtures of note is the possible return of Dan Shittu to Loftus Road as Watford come to Rangers on September 22nd. A new ground for many will be the visit to Scunthorpe United, but it could be a chilly one as it will be played on December 8th.
