Glad it's all Over...

Liverpool 1-0 QPR

The final whistle on Sunday afternoon was music to QPR fans ears as we ended the season as we started, in defeat as the curtain came down on an absolute PIG of a season!! The game also brought down the curtain of the career of Jamie Carragher. A rarity these days, but another one club man racked up an amazing 737 appearances for Liverpool. An amazing achievement!!

I would at this point, write about the myself and the gangs trip and pre match antics and of course, the game. BUT, on this occasion, NONE of the LH gang made the trip. We all either cancelled or sold on our tickets as after a season of loyal support and little in return, we all refused to spend up to another 100 or so pounds to travel and watch this current crop of players, toss away another game with little care or love for our Great club. I am not going to spend the rest of this article slagging off individuals and I think we all know the players I am referring too. But in a relegation battle, 2 points in the last nine games meant that the R's went with no more than a whimper and I am sad to say, bottom of the league is where we deserved to be...

Awayday Pie Rating

I am very pleased to say, that my friend Bob kindly sampled a pie for us to bring the season to a close.

Bob gave expert analysis on a Meat and Potato and commented - Nothing spectacular - 7/10

So, this years LH AwayDay Pie of the Year, which also got us mentioned in their Official Match Programme, goes to - West Ham United!!

- it's a shame we won't be back to sample them again next season...

So, we go back to the Championship and now enter what is a very important Summer for QPR. I expect it will be full of incident as always as being a QPR fan is never dull. The Club have made decent strides in their pricing of the Season Tickets which has gone a long way to getting the fans back on board for what hopefully, will be another rollercoaster ride back to the Premier League.

And finally, a THANK YOU from me!!

Lofty Heights is more popular than ever and your feedback and kind words mean the world to myself and Lee. The viewing figures are amazing and we have found our work being recognised by others as we have done work for fans websites from Spurs, Everton and Southampton this season. We just hope our ramblings will continue to entertain you next season...

Come on You R'ssssssssssssss!!!

As a supporter of over 50 years I have to say that we have been relegated before but never with so less passion for our great club, players saying they want to leave because they dont want to play in the championship, they way they played the conference is about all they are worth.Good to see the old kit back and the red/black hoop away kit, lots of repect to you guys that travel week in week out, always look forward to your Lofty Heights.

    Farewell for now, Lofty People.
I look forward to next season and hopefully with a bit of luck i may make it to a game or 2 next season!
I wish for certain players to go and a few new faces with a bit of determination to come in there place.
After Tony took over i didnt think we would have to ask for our rangers back again, but we do! Bu this time its an easier job for the management team to do!
