Green and Diakite Sign Up To The Revolution........

The R's have completed another two signings.

Firstly, as confirmed last week, Robert Green signed on a free transfer from West Ham and will join the R's when his contract expires on the 1st July.
Green, 32, signs on a two year deal and brings a wealth of experience to the R's backline.
The England International is returning from Euro 2012 duty shortly and will meet up with his new team mates when pre-season commences in the next two weeks.

Green started his career at Norwich City in 1999 and quickly made a reputation of being one of the best young goalkeepers in the country. After seven years in East Anglia, Green moved down to East London and joined West Ham for a fee of £2million.
Green recently helped the Hammers in their Play Off final victory over Blackpool and then jetted off to Poland and Ukraine with England but did not make an appearance during the tournament.

The R's second signing is Samba Diakite on a permanent deal.

Diakite signs a four year deal after he enjoyed a successful loan spell with the club last year as he made 9 appearances for the R's and scored the winning goal in the vital victory over Arsenal at Loftus Road.
Despite Diakite getting off to a disastrous debut against Fulham when he was sent off for two bookings within the opening 33 minutes, he made a massive impact on the field with his industrious performances in both attack and defence.
A fee of a belived £3.5million was agreed as the terms of the loan deal in January and the R's have decided to take up the option of signing the talented Mali International.

Diakite told the Official QPR Website -

"I loved my time here on loan and I couldn't be happier to join QPR on a permanent deal.
"It's a fantastic Club to play for and the owners have great plans for the future - I am just delighted to be part of it.
"This is a really exciting move for me."

Welcome to Loftus Road Rob and Samba, we hope you enjoy much success with us!!

I'm really surprised Green's signed for us, especially when many probably consider west ham a 'bigger' club than us. Still, he's a quality keeper, I hope he's not just moved here for the money, we've had a few too many of them over the past few years!!!!
