Green and Diakite Sign Up To The Revolution........

The R's have completed another two signings.

Firstly, as confirmed last week, Robert Green signed on a free transfer from West Ham and will join the R's when his contract expires on the 1st July.
Green, 32, signs on a two year deal and brings a wealth of experience to the R's backline.
The England International is returning from Euro 2012 duty shortly and will meet up with his new team mates when pre-season commences in the next two weeks.

Green started his career at Norwich City in 1999 and quickly made a reputation of being one of the best young goalkeepers in the country. After seven years in East Anglia, Green moved down to East London and joined West Ham for a fee of £2million.
Green recently helped the Hammers in their Play Off final victory over Blackpool and then jetted off to Poland and Ukraine with England but did not make an appearance during the tournament.

The R's second signing is Samba Diakite on a permanent deal.

Diakite signs a four year deal after he enjoyed a successful loan spell with the club last year as he made 9 appearances for the R's and scored the winning goal in the vital victory over Arsenal at Loftus Road.
Despite Diakite getting off to a disastrous debut against Fulham when he was sent off for two bookings within the opening 33 minutes, he made a massive impact on the field with his industrious performances in both attack and defence.
A fee of a belived £3.5million was agreed as the terms of the loan deal in January and the R's have decided to take up the option of signing the talented Mali International.

Diakite told the Official QPR Website -

"I loved my time here on loan and I couldn't be happier to join QPR on a permanent deal.
"It's a fantastic Club to play for and the owners have great plans for the future - I am just delighted to be part of it.
"This is a really exciting move for me."

Welcome to Loftus Road Rob and Samba, we hope you enjoy much success with us!!

The Hughes Revolution Begins.........

Today the first two signings of the summer were unveiled as Mark Hughes captured two of his former players.

Firstly Ryan Nelson has agreed a one year deal with the R's after seeing his short term contract expire at Spurs. Nelson was signed by Hughes during his reign at Blackburn in 2005 and the New Zealander has jumped at the chance to work with his former boss.

Nelson told the Official QPR Website

"I am really pleased to be joining QPR.

I have obviously got a lot of history with the Manager and that was a massive draw for me.
I like his winning attitude. He and all his staff just have an absolute desire to win, and that's what the Premier League is all about.
If you haven't got that, you won't be successful.
The owners have got fantastic ambition and it's exciting to become a part of that. There's a real buzz about the place and it is a privilege to be here."

The 34 year old signs on a free transfer.

The second signing is Andrew Johnson from Fulham, again on a free transfer.

Johnson signs on a two year deal and he is delighted to be working with Hughes, whilst also linking up with his former Fulham team mate Bobby Zamora.

Johnson told the Official QPR Website
"I've worked closely with Mark before and there are also players here that I've played with previously, including Bobby Zamora and Shaun Derry," he said.
"Those were factors in me joining, but this is a big, big Club and I've spoken to the Chairman and Mark, who both have great ambition for QPR, and it's something that I wanted to be a part of."

We welcome you both to Loftus Road and hope you enjoy plenty of success with us here at QPR.
